at a first glance i think you can find better creatures than those you have got there.
indrik is kind of bad, like triskelavus (i know u have academy ruins, but even so..)
how about bird of paradise? shadowmage infiltrator? wall of blossoms? ,nighscape familiar? ohran viper? and how about garruk (i know its not an actual creature..)  kokusho and keiga as finishers?

since you only play 3 colors, why not include more manlands? mutavault, mishras factory, treetop... specially if u have LFTL, also if you play LFTL, add the 3 onslaught cycle lands for your 3 colors. u should add urborg. and how about artefact acceleration (signet, talisman?).

your counterspells/removal/draw could also have some modfications: expunge, ribbons of the night, miscalculation, opt arent that good
... no duress/therapy/thoughtseize? shred memory and muddle the mixture are also good cards in that deck. and how about mana drain, or you dont have it in here because its too expensive?

as for artefacts, why not phyrexian furnace, sensei divining top (you could even play trinket mage for tutor effects).

well, thats a quick review of the deck, but keep in mind that if you test it a lot, you start to see what cards are good and bad for you.

if you wanna play test just say something here. Smiley

think about following changes:

a) Trygon Predator <-> Indrik Stompholwer

Lower Manacost, quite nice in/and against control-decks

b) Phyrexian Furnace <-> Ribbons of Night

in my opinion you need more graveyard-hate in a control deck in the current meta

c) Shadowmage Infiltrator <-> Triskelavus

Card-Advantage

d) Darkblast <-> Ancestral Visions

e) Sensei's Divining Top <-> Spite/Malice

f) Crop Rotation <-> Cryptic Command (in a 3-Color-dec?)

Rest looks respectable to me...worth a try.

Thanks for looking guys, my thoughts

Mythrandir,
I think with gifts, intuition and card draw I can get buy with less “Finishers” I just set up a genesis, or stronghold and “Draw” them like that.  I thought of Garruk and will probably try him out (over Triskelavus) he’s good with Baloth also.

I don’t want to play that many colorless lands, maybe I’ll try Treetop and Faerie Conclave.  I don’t play Artifact accel because the decks main removial is O. Stone/N Disk / P. Deed and I don’t want to waste my own stuff.

I didn’t think of muddle, it is better than miscalculation, I’ll be making that change.  I play opt and similar 1 mana card draw so I can skimp on land a little, because late game I’d rather draw opt than a forest.  I ‘m not sure if duress/thoughtseize do enough for me, and I don’t run enough creatures to make therapy good.  I also don’t own a Drain or it would be in here.

I don’t like furnace, but I might try and fit in Trinket mage, SDT, and Enginered Explosives, to go with my crypt.

Vazdru
A.you have to attack with the Predator so I don’t like him as much)

C. I added the trik late because it worked with Stronghold, academy ruins, and gensis.  Maybe I was getting to cute, but I want to play with it a bit more before I call the trik a mistake.

D.  I think this is wrong, I would always rather have 3 cards than a recursive -1/-1

E.  I’m going to try and work in the top, but I like the utility of S/M a lot

F. it’s mana is over half blue, but you are right I should have Crop rotation in there some place.

Dredge 5 is quite good cause the LftL-Engine is usually one of your strongest weapons.

You play lots of recursions too, so your graveyard is an important resource.

Anc. Visions is quite nice when you can play it first round but in mid and late game it's often too slow. Venser, Remands, Memory Lapse, Counterspells ... can be easily found in the current meta. It's quite frustration to wait another 3 rounds for the card draw.

I think when your opponent play first turn lackey you beg for darkblast Tongue

believe me, predator is quite good. 3mana for a 2/3 flyer is very good specially with a disechant ability. 5 mana for a simple 4/4 to destroy an artefact i would rather have a simple naturalize.

btw: venser would be good too in there.

there is probably no one given you a free decklist out of his labor.

anyway i think its a pity, that there are a couple of decks (including the GBW-Rock i like so much), which do not have a good match up against all these blue based/included decks cause you do not have enough flexibility. Blue either creates Tempoadvantage or Cardadvantage, sometimes in one card. Maybe i got some of the decklists wrong, but why does it always have to be Bant or DarkBant, thats annoying. I can not believe that the other decks do not have any chance against blue based control or more like aggro-control. I think people just stick with what everybody knows works well.

I played a U/G/B control deck too. I added W to get access to some great cards (e.g. the Landfall-Angels, Moat, Academy Rector, Knight of The Reliquary etc…). The main question is: is it profitable to add a fourth color? Anyway, here's the decklist:

Lands:

1x Watery Grave
1x Scalding Tarn
1x Lonely Sandbar
1x Wasteland
1x Breeding Pool
1x Undiscovered Paradise
1x Tranquil Thicket
1x Tropical Island
1x Windswept Heath
1x Treetop Village
1x Bayou
1x Marsh Flats
1x Bloodstained Mire
1x Mishra's Factory
1x Arid Mesa
1x Overgrown Tomb
1x Plains [Version 4]
1x Savannah
1x Volrath's Stronghold
1x Faerie Conclave
1x Tundra
1x Polluted Delta
1x Flooded Strand
1x Underground Sea
1x Verdant Catacombs
1x Island [Version 4]
1x Scrubland
1x Karakas
1x Celestial Colonnade
1x Forest [Version 4]
1x Wooded Foothills
1x Cephalid Coliseum
1x Dust Bowl
1x Swamp [Version 4]
1x Maze of Ith
1x Hallowed Fountain
1x Misty Rainforest
1x Terramorphic Expanse
(I consider to cut the manlands, 'cause of moat)

Creatures:

1x Lotus Cobra
1x Eternal Witness
1x Glen Elendra Archmage
1x Rampaging Baloths (worth to play? The Baloths are a dead card too, if moat’s on board)
1x Ob Nixilis, the Fallen
1x Trinket Mage
1x Tarmogoyf
1x Meloku the Clouded Mirror
1x Kira, Great Glass-Spinner
1x Wall of Roots
1x Vendilion Clique
1x Knight of the Reliquary
1x Emeria Angel
1x Aven Mindcensor
1x Eternal Dragon
1x Admonition Angel
1x Living Tsunami
1x Academy Rector
1x Venser, Shaper Savant

Spells:

1x Engineered Explosives
1x Sensei's Divining Top
1x Treachery
1x Pernicious Deed
1x Trade Routes
1x Necromancy
1x Future Sight
1x Moat
1x Oblivion Ring
1x Dissipate
1x Stroke of Genius
1x Crop Rotation
1x Misdirection
1x Path to Exile
1x Worldly Tutor
1x Capsize
1x Faerie Trickery
1x Fact or Fiction
1x Harrow
1x Forbid
1x Remand
1x Force of Will
1x Mana Leak
1x Mana Drain
1x Miscalculation
1x Counterspell
1x Mind Spring
1x Worm Harvest (same as Baloths)
1x Duress
1x Vindicate
1x Demonic Tutor
1x Life from the Loam
1x Scapeshift
1x Regrowth
1x Damnation
1x Treasure Hunt
1x Mind Shatter
1x Wrath of God
1x Raven's Crime
1x Thoughtseize

Planeswalker:

1x Garruk Wildspeaker
1x Jace, the Mind Sculptor
1x Elspeth, Knight-Errant

Yes, I play the LftL-Engine, but more as a side-kick. The control aspect should take center of the stage. Some questions:

1.   Are Baloths, Goyf, Worm Harvest worth to play? I can’t assume, that I have a Moat always on board, but if it is, these cards are just dead.
2.   How ‘bout Genesis?
3.   How ‘bout other “Landfaller”, like Grazing Gladehart (or so…) against Aggro?
4.   Should I play some more basic lands? If Blood Moon or BtB are on the field, it should be “gg” for me…

Thanks for help in advance. Free to comment.

4. i would play more because of back 2 basics and maybe cuz of bloodmoon but i dont see it so often ... but i dont know what 2 cut^^

AGREE!!!!! thats exactly what i said before! straight aggro or blue-based decks. theres not much which can beat these decks with at least 50% win-chance imo.
best regards pute
