Many of those very prevalent cards are simply a result of the 4-5c goodstuff decks being based on GW. Getting rid of Pod or something won't solve the problems, fixing the manabases that allow them does. Fetches with duals grants a stupid amount of speed, consistency and resilience to multicolour manabases, which just shouldn't happen. If you can't go past 3c without being absolutely dead to nonbasic hate, you have to actually have a plan.

I'll do keycard check to the Finnish top 8 listings, though not sure if the list is missing a deck.

That Elf deck should have played Mystic, but there are many other things it should have played too, especially fetchlands.

UWb Stax deck in Finnish Nats should also have played Mystic. Reanimator deck should definitely have played Top. And UB control in that top eight was actually UBg Oath.
