Congrats!! Smiley

I want the victoriusly Vazdru to refer about his great victory.

I would also be interested in the amount of players which had played the tournament and generally information about the tournament series and their meta.

Throw enough goblins at any problem and it should go away. At the very least, there'll be fewer goblins.

Yeah front page, cool!

You can find top8 decks of these weekly tournaments in the Decks of the Week archive under 100-card singleton:
http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Archive.aspx?tag=Decks%20of%20the%20Week&description=Decks%20of%20the%20Week

There are about 25-30 players in these events. I'll start playing in them too when I get rest of the missing cards for goblins. I'll just have to grind some more pauper and standard first so I can buy rest of the stuff Cheesy

Thx ! Too much honor - it was just Singleton  Wink

In fact I've played 4 Online Singleton Tourneys with WW:

* 5-0, lost quarterfinal
* 4-1, lost semifinal
* Top 16
* fail

Meta is (B-)RDW-(Gobbos) ~ 30%, Aggro ~ 20% (Naya, GW, Boros), Survival ~ 15%, UB(W)-Control (some with Thopter-Combo) ~ 15%, Rogue (Elves, WW, Grixis, Combo...) ~ 20%.

There are at least 24 player for a tournament to begin, sometimes 30-40 participants.

It obviously a budget-deck because i don't want to spend much money in online cards.

Cards missing because they are too expensive:

* Armageddon (~ $ 5; Ravages are $ 2.5  Wink)
* Figure of Destiny (~ $ 8.5)
* Elspeth (~ $ 25-30)
* $$-Slayer (~ $ 40)
* Wasteland (??)

Cards missing because they are not released yet:

* Tangle Wire
* Ramosian Sergeant
* Mother of Runes (soon  Wink)
* Parallax Wave

Recent Changes:

* Student of Wayfare for Hyena Umbra
* Sb: Mana Tithe for Celestial Purge
* Sb <-> Mb: Crusade <-> Divine Sacrament

It's a bomb vs Aggro esp. RDW after sb -> Absolute Law, Forge-Tender, Rune: Red, Martyr of Sands, Firewalker, Wall of Reverance, Harm's Way, Honorable Passage

Vs control i need a good draw to stand it Grin An early Vial, Ankh, Orb, Ravages or Cataclysm are doing usually a good job.

Vs Survival it's 50:50.

Congratulations Vazdru.

I've also toyed with the idea of playing singleton on magic online Cheesy. Do you know about wether or not Wizards plan to keep introducing old cards and if yes, which?

Actually they release Urza's Block. Urza's Saga is already online, Urza's Legacy will follow soon.

They try to establish Legacy as online-format. Therefore they need older cards too otherwise they wouldn't attract many Lagacy rl player. So little by little the older sets will show up in online circus.

The online Master Editions are already including some older ones (Duals, Moat, Arabian Nights, Homelands, Portal Stuff).

Doesn't it suffer from the same problems like limited availability of the good stuff like Force of Will, duals, old fetches, goyf etc.?

Do SBs in there make for unfun 2nd games? or is it still balanced, since they SB too? Just wondering since SB make for totally different deck building strategies.

Because dropping absolute law just seems broken Tongue

First I was afraid of Flashfires and Anarchy. And indeed Anarchy cost me some games  Roll Eyes but in the end it's still fun. Multicolor-decks offer more SB-Options and aren't that vulnerable to special cards (Imagine Karma vs. MBC Grin). But on the other hand the consitency of my WW in addition with the lack of Spoils-Mulligan balance that somehow. I tried Boros and UW-Fish as well but WW is still my most successful deck.
