Getting banned is normaly not the same as a deletion ...
... but good luck to get banned or deleted whatever you want and whyever you want Smiley

I want to delete my account, but that's apparently not possible. So, I am forced to spam till I die.

Deleted the account. Posts are retained. Deleted the spam though; no need to post those to get attention.

It's a sane safety valve and by default on in SMF so that no-one deletes an account in accident.
