I noticed that Wizards started to offer Dual Commander on their GPs as a sideevent  Shocked

I also met some old highlander players in Utrecht which asked me if I would like to play a game of Dual Commander...

Will Duel Commander surpass Highlander in Germany in the next years?

I also have a huge amount of chinese and japanese foil HL staples not listed yet,  which I would like to downgrade to english foil. Just let me know!

NO!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betteridge%27s_law_of_headlines

But seriously, asking if something x wil ill thing y is wrong approach. As side
events are more or less at tournament organizer's discretion, I would ask from
them why they decided on dual commander, but not French EDH, Canadian highlander or
this highlander.

One can reach them here: info@tournamentcenter.eu

And from what I know tournament organizers: they want that things run as
smoothly as possible. Against this is our proxy system (IE/CE/gold cards)
which make sanctioning and policing a tournament more complicated.

Just to say that Duel Commander and French EDH are two different names for the same format Smiley

I look at the Duel commander a bit differently - to me it is a way to bring Commander players (usually very casual players) to play 1on1 and therefore to bring them maybe even to Highlander and vice versa - to bring Highlander players to play more Commander.
Two very different communities, with very different player opinions on games and cards, but same target - to seek more fun in this game.
More formats means more fun to me and I think those 2 formats are as close as possible to each other while both being somewhat special.

I even started mixing those 2 formats in Bratislava community right now - one week HL tournament and Duel Commander the other.
I will update you, if it works and if it makes people play both and therefore bring more players to both formats - mainly HL of course Smiley

Duel Commander down to 20 life. Playable 4C and partner commanders printed. Time to dig up this post.

Top4 of the latest major tournament consisting of RDW and 4C: http://mtgtop8.com/event?e=14130&d=284088&f=EDH

Is it time for a convertion to create a much bigger community?
