Hey, has anyone here played in the V HL GP?, if sou would you mind making some comments/reports/decklists here? i´ve already took a glance at the main site, but my german isnt that great. =/
congrats to the winner and all other players.
There have been 88 contenders in the 5th GP.
The winner played pure combo with grindstone-savant / hermit druid / cephalid breakfast.
A friend of mine reached 13th place with "Tokenmania aka You'll never walk alone" - players of the HLL will know that deck.
I received 16th place with "UW-Aggro aka White clouded Skies"
Guardian haven't played magic for about half a year and dropped with WB-Life-Control aka Bittersweat Life after 0:3.
MErcator ranked 21, Gerog B 22 (5c-Stuffy-Control), Payron 25 (Black-Suicide), Sturmgott 32 (Blue Skies).
Decklists will follow....
So all of us did OK ... I mean with my mono-B-suicide, I didn t expect alot .. but 25th rank was alright for my first GP ^^ ... I will try a other Deck next GP ^^
well, it seems combo decks have a thing for winning GPs, i never thought that that combo would go into HL decks...
but i like the fact that some control decks made it to the top.
The Top 8 Lists will be posted soon in the coverage of HaJo at www.magicuniverse.de. I think he said that will be tomorow.

well, its great to see a very large number of control (multicolored decks). and that 2 card combo was probably stuffy and the new shadowmoor painter, right? it makes me wonder if i shouldnt had a combo, but i´m not a huge fan of it. looking forward to some decklists :)
No, Stuffy was not in the combodeck.
It was the Painters combo and a Cephalid Breakfast combo.
