We had a small questionnaire regarding the banlist before the tourney, that I want to share with you:
67 players played on the tourney and 25 of them (37%) stated, that they are OK with current banlist.
The rest of them responded to given questions as follows:
1. Which card should be unbanned?
Stoneforge Mystic 12 = 18%
Umezawa's Jitte 4 = 6%
Natural Order 3 = 4.5%
Sensei's Divining Top 3 4.5%
Gifts Ungiven 2 = 3%
Vampiric Tutor 2 = 3%
Library of Alexandria 2 = 3%
Strip mine 1 = 1.5%
Entomb 1 = 1.5%
Birthing Pod 1 = 1.5%
Worldgorger Dragon 1 = 1.5%
2. Which card should be banned?
Mana Drain 15 = 22%
Tolarian Academy 12 = 18%
Mystical Tutor 11 = 16.5%
Demonic Tutor 10 = 15%
Oath of Druids 8 = 12%
Tainted Pact 6 = 9%
Treasure Cruise 6 = 9%
Dig Through Time 5 = 7.5%
Yawgmoth's Will 4 = 6%
Fastbond 3 = 4.5%
We asked also for the reasons for such votes, so we have also some reasoning data.
I will continue gathering similar questionnaires during the whole series, so we have some updates how the people are more and more aware of the format.
I will use this information for following banlist voting also, so it doesn't get lost.
